Besides hash, it will not escape your attention that it is hot and humid. You will sweat, there is water, there is sea, you will probably want to jump in it. There are pools at hotels, you will probably want to fall in them.

- Jesus statue and Pope statue to visit
- Mt. Ramelau and Matebian to ascend (these do take a bit of planning as neither have much in the way of facilities)

A number of organised tours are available through a couple of local travel agencies operating in Dili (eg Megatours). Tour group sizes are usually less than 10 so do not fear, there is no air-conditioned coach with on-board toilet to spoil it !
